St. John's Episcopal Church was preparing to celebrate a Century of service to the Dubuque community.


Dubuque families were preparing for the Easter Parade. 



Radio was the most popular "in-home" entertainment.


The downtown Dubuque theaters provided excellent entertainment.


Area ballrooms didn't operate during Lent Dancers were anxious to get back onto the floor. 


Dubuque's "Industrial League" basketball season announced the winners. 


Dubuque was preparing to vote a franchise for the natural gas company
